parkrun Fun with kids' activities and much more! Sponsored by Avivo

After the success of the Family Fun Day in 2016, this year we have partnered with parkrun to step up this fun and social event.

Please enter an image description.Embracing families and people of all ages, this year the Claisebrook Cove parkrun will be transformed in the City of Perth. After the weekly 5km run at 8am, there will be a range of exciting kids' activities on offer to come and try - including baby animal farm, mini soccer, face painting, balloon artist and two bouncy castles for the children. Come on down to East Perth for some family fun on the last day of Mental Health Week!

Want to come along for the run?!

Starting promptly at 8am on Sat, 14 October from the children’s playground area in Mardalup Park (end of Brown Street, East Perth) and finishing in Victoria Gardens (end of Royal Street, East Perth). The 5km course runs along the scenic Swan River out to Bardon Park before returning back along the river to Victoria Gardens. This parkrun in Mental Health Week is being started by the Deputy Premier & Minister for Mental Health, the Hon Roger Cook MLA.

Visit www.parkrun.com.au/claisebrookcove/ for further information. If you are running, please review the parkrun information. If this is your first ‘parkrun’, the organisers have requested that you register with them.

    There for support?

There’ll be lots to see and do at Victoria Gardens after the run – and during the run for those not running or who are there to support a runner!  Activities at Victoria Garden run from 7:30-10am and will feature a range of exciting activities for the young and young at heart. Don't miss the bouncy castles, face painter, balloon artist and mini animal farm!

Stalls will provide food, refreshments, drinks, juice and useful information on mental health services in Perth -  come along and visit Act-Belong-Commit, Helping Minds, WAAMH and others.

For those planning to drive to the event we recommend the following car parks: Mardalup Park (a short walk over the bridge) and Regal Place. For more information on their location and costs, please visit HERE for full info.
